•    If you have a double boiler than it is excellent just fill the bottom of boiler with water. As an alternate if you don’t have double boiler you may take a large sauce pan filling water about two to three inches high in it and than place a smaller saucepan into it.

•    Now cut the chunks of paraffin wax of around one inch in size and place those in the top part of double boiler or you may put them into the smaller saucepan if you are going for alternative method.

•    The heat should be kept medium in double boiler. Or maintain the heat under your sauce pan too at medium and keep stirring the paraffin continuously as it melts taking care that no lumps are formed. Once you find all the wax melted evenly reduce the heat to low.

•    Now take your flowers and remove any wilted or damages leaves. Strip off the leaves of the stems and tie the stem with the string of short length.

•    Now you are ready to dip your flower in the wax. Dip the flower once and pull it out back check that the flower is completely coated with the wax if not than give it a second dip.

•    Now hang the flowers with the help of strings attached to the stems upside down to get dry. You will need to place some newspaper or wax paper under the flowers to save the floor or mat from the wax that may drip off flowers.

•    Now remove the strings off the stems when the wax over the flowers is completely dry. Now its time to dip the stems into the wax and spin them around so that the whole of the stem is evenly coated with the wax.

•    Now keep the flowers over wax paper lined properly allowing the wax over stems to be dried properly. Once the wax on flower and stem has hardened properly you may arrange your flower bouquet the way you want them to.
